Third Culture Kid - a proposed  exhibition




Third Culture Kid is a proposed exhibition I created for children about multiculturalism. 

A Third Culture Kid is someone who has grown up in a culture different from either of their parents'. This exhibition aims to educate and provide comfort to children who come from multicultural backgrounds. The exhibition focuses on information but also interactivity with activities like colouring pages and paper dolls.
An introductory board that defines what a third culture kid is to the reader.
A closet wall displaying various cultural objects and clothing for children to explore. Demonstrates the cultural similarities we share through clothing and household things.
An introduction board that shows examples of third culture kids and their cultural backgrounds.
An activity table that displays international dresses from 10 areas around the world. Children are invited to mix and match the paper clothing to reflect their own cultural identities.
A clothing wall that displays different types of fabrics and how they are used in different cultures. This wall would be tactile, with the curtains being made of different fabrics.
An activity table that has colouring pages for the children to further interact with the national clothing.
